  • Daytona Beach, Automobile and Motorcycle Races (Florida)

Mailed in 1948, with 1-cent stamp and postmark.  But it was to go to Canada, the postage wasn’t enough, so there is also a Canadian 2-cent Postage Due stamp and an extra rubber-stamp chop.  At least Amelia agreed to pay!  Hard to grade, it’s all postal, so we will call this Grade: 2

Unused card measuring about 3-3/4″ x 8-3/4″.  As usual, we Googled to see what we could learn about the hotel, and came out of that experience knowing nothing.  It may have changed its name, or may now be a Convention Centre.  Regardless, it’s a nice old photo, and yes, look hard and you’ll see the motorcycle.  Grade: 1
