Hong Kong Palace Museum II: Gold “Son of Heaven” Seal (Set of 8)
Issued by Hongkong Post in December 2024, this is Postage Prepaid Picture Card Series No. 79, a set of eight cards with coloured postal imprints and special postmarks, though the cards are otherwise unused. We have not opened the original Cello-wrap packaging, so we don’t know what the other seven cards show. Grade: 1

Unused card covering the Frankfurt waterfront, both literally and figuratively. The views include Liebieghaus, Deutscheherrenbrucke, and Huhnermarkt, among others. Grade: 1

Newport, The Nichols-Wanton-Hunter House (Rhode Island, USA)
Now familiarly known as the Hunter House, it was built in its original form in 1748 and has a strikingly complicated history — as it should, for being so old. It’s now a museum. The card was mailed in 1978 with a 10-cent stamp, postmark, and effusive message. Serrated edges. Grade: 1

We borrow this (abridged) text from a domestic Romanian website: “Built in 1812, the Duca Kula impresses with the massiveness of its walls and astonishingly precise architecture, representing a true landmark of Oltenian architectural style. Located in Măldărești in Vâlcea County, the kula harmoniously integrates into the Măldărești Museum Complex, along with the I.G. Duca Memorial House and the Greceanu Kula, forming a triangle of historical heritage.” Unused card. Grade: 1

Hong Kong Museums Collection, Chinese Snuff Bottles (Set of 8)
Our scan shows the front of a typical card from the set, and also the reverse of another, all still in the original Cello-wrap so don’t worry about those two lines of pricing. It is Hongkong Post’s Postage Prepaid Picture Card Series No. 80, whose pre-printed postage was valid for posting worldwide. We have two unused sets: one with no cancellation (Grade: 1, $16), and another with a special postmark (Grade: 1, $18).
