Albany, The Plaza, Old Post Office and State Capitol (New York)
This card was mailed in 1960, with 3-cent stamp and full Albany postmark. But there’s a twist: the writer forgot to put any address, so the Post Office placed their large purple “Returned to Writer” chop in that space, and returned it … but to whom? The writer didn’t put her own address. Was Albany so small in 1960 that the Post Office knew who “Peggy” was? We’ll never know. Grade: 2
-
Greetings from the City of Washington (D.C.)
A bit odd the designer would allow the card to turn out this way, but so it is. Mailed in 1911 with stamp and clear D.C. postmark, this large letter card identifies each of the attractions, giving us the chance to list it in several theme categories also. Grade: 2

Postbox Assortment (China) (set)
We got this unused set of six cards in China and put as much as we could into the scan: three of the six cards (you can see the other three in the instructions on how to make them stand up by themselves), QR codes, and so on. These are something of a knock-off of Japan Gotochi style, but distinctively Chinese. It’s a novelty. Grades: 1
-
Divisi Filateli (2 connected cards) (Indonesia)
When extended, these wouldn’t fit on the scanner, so we had to do it like this. They are each bilingual (Bahasa Indonesia and English) order forms from Pos Indonesia’s Bandung office, in 1999, to join one or another Philatelic Division mailing lists. Each card has pre-printed postage and is clearly postmarked, though unused otherwise. Grade: 1

Macau Post, Streets of Macao II
We’ve indicated earlier that Macau Post prints these cards for each new issue. They measure about 5-3/4″ x 7-1/4″ and are not really postcards but could easily be used that way. Some explanation: we have five of these. What looks like a postmark in the scan is printed on the card. The reverse has full product details in English, Portuguese, and Chinese. Three of the five cards also have an extra round purple chop (blurry and/or not quite complete) from the post office counter. All cards: Grades: 1

So what’s going on here? It is a very sturdy cardboard box measuring 3-5/8″ across by 6-3/8″ long by 2-1/4″ deep. Inside, a small postcard with pre-printed postage, and a little cloth bag full of what looks like ground up something, though we’ve not opened it. All three of these appear in the photo. And we have two of these sets available. Grades: 1
-
Bangkok 1993 historic postage (Maximum Cards) (set)
A set of six maximum cards. Four of them appear in this scan, and they look strange because they are still in a plastic cover. The remaining two cards are of a similar style. Hong Kong Vintage Posting Box by Chocolate Rain (set)
It is odd for Hongkong Post to issue something like this, but they did, so we will describe the three sets we have. They are books of postcards, bound into a softcover sets of which you see the cover here. The whole thing measures 5-1/2″ x 9-1/2″ x about 1/4″ and is heavy. Of the 17 pages in each set, 16 are postcards (in the similar style as this photo, but different) and one is a sort of introductory page of the same size, but not a postcard. Hope that’s clear. These are odd. Special postage rate will apply: please ask us. Grades: 1
