Sultan Salahuddin Mosque, Shah Alam (Malaysia)
Unused Yacine card 18188, 4-3/4″ x 6-3/4″. The name of its location is misspelled as “Shas Alam” in the caption on reverse. Grade: 1

City Mosque (Ipoh, Malaysia)
Altogether three cards are available. Two were mailed in 1986: one suffers from an abundance of postmark ink on each side. The stamp is intact and the postmark is largely legible but card is heavily smudged (Grade: 4, $1.50); the other has the stamp and readable postmark (Grade: 2, $3). And one more card was written for mailing but never stamped (Grade: 4, $1.50).

Masjid Sultan Ahmad Shah, Kuantan (Malaysia)
Two cards are available, mailed four years apart. The 1986 one is Grade: 1 ($3.50). The 1990 one has a full postmark but also a faint crease running vertically through the card (Grade: 4, $2).

Two of these are available, both mailed in 1991 and all with at least one stamp. One has illegible postmark (Grade: 3, $4), and one has no postmark (Grade: 3, $4). -
Jame Mosque (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
Two mailed cards are available. One was mailed in 1991 and has stamp and partly legible postmark. Only real problem is that it has many white-out corrections to the writing (Grade: 4, $3). The other doesn’t have a legible postmark but also has (less) correctional fluid (Grade: 3, $4).

The other was mailed in 1990 with a commemorative stamp and nearly full postmark, and orange postal bar code on bottom reverse (Grade: 2, $3.50).

Cheng Hoon Teng Temple (Malacca, Malaysia)
Card doesn’t say this is in Malacca, but we know it is–don’t we? Three cards are available. The best has commemorative stamp and full postmark (Grade: 1, $4.50). The next is good on front but back has only a partial postmark (Grade: 2, $4). The last has a bit of corner torn off the stamp–not the card itself (Grade: 3, $3.50).

This Great Wall card G.W. 323 was mailed in 1991 with a Kedah stamp but indistinct postmark. The State Mosque (Masjid Negeri) is located at the junction of Air Itam Road and Green Lane, and opened in 1980. Grade: 2

Pagodas (Bagan, Myanmar)
Politics aside, what a spectacular place this is. Card was mailed in the late 1990s and has a reasonably full postmark but no stamp, which is how things were done at the post office at that time. The front has some abrasion. Grade: 3

Wat Poh (Bangkok)
This unused card is fading, and at one time was in an album that left minor indentations but no real marks. Minor creasing in upper right corner. Reverse has mellowed but is clean, and this is a nice temple photo. Grade: 3 -

Nice companion card for 20316062, as this real photo shot was taken about 50 years earlier. Unused card, aged but in great condition though it has a little bit of Japanese calligraphy pencilled on reverse. Grade: 3

Sepia card with quite faded descriptive caption on bottom front. Card was mailed in 1922. One stamp was removed; one remains intact, plus half the postmark (with the date). Message is in Japanese. Grade: 3

This is the oldest Hindu temple in Singapore, though not the oldest postcard. Mailed in 1989, it has two different stamps and partial postmark. Grade: 2

Very nice unused old B&W card, completely undamaged front and back, and aging gracefully. Grade: 2

Wat Ratchanatda (Bangkok)
Two of these are available. One (Grade: 3, $5) has minor edge abrasion, mailed in 2001. It has three stamps on reverse but one has a bit of corner missing. Another (Grade: 5, $3) was mailed in 2000 and has five nice stamps but also a jumbo black bar code on bottom reverse and a postal tape on bottom front. By the way, the market area on the temple grounds is unusually interesting.

Domaine de Marie church (Dalat, Vietnam)
Sometimes the postmarks say “Saigon” and sometimes they say “Ho Chi Minh City,” which is about like it is in conversation, too. This card was mailed in 1996, two stamps and Ho Chi Minh postmark, along with prominent bar code on reverse and nearly invisible one on the front. Grade: 2

“A panoramic view of the city can be had” from the wooden platform on a cliff bearing the temple featured on this very old, unused postcard, with Japanese and longer English captions. Grade: 1
