Larabanga Mosque (Damongo, Ghana)
B&W unused WAC 106 card from mid-1960s, though it’s a timeless scene. Some aging on reverse. We have to say that Ghana is a far more colourful country than these cards suggest. Grade: 1
-
Dome of the Rock (Jerusalem)
Card dates from 1993 though of course it could have been much earlier. A letter completely fills the reverse and the card was later mailed in an envelope so there was no stamp. Front has barely significant edge and corner abrasions. Grade: 4

On that you should trust us, and the prices reflect that. Grades: 1, $129 each
-
Djenne Mosque (Mopti, Mali)
This mid-60s card was mailed and has four stamps intact, with partly legible postmarks. Slight edge abrasion but no significant damage, and very nice to look at when you consider the scope of the building–and where it is. Grade: 1

Very hard to know the exact age of this B&W card. It was mailed and has two stamps, with almost-legible postmark, a caption that either reads “1999” or “1939,” and reference to Joakimides Thira. It has been pinned to a bulletin board several times at top but the holes are well hidden on front. Serrated edges. Grade: 4

Vintage B&W card, heavily aged, small pencilled notation on reverse–but unmailed. Edge and corner abrasions. Grade: 4

St. Peter’s (Rome)
Yes, we know this is in Vatican City but the card (mailed in 1909 from one Iowa resident to another, with a one-cent USA stamp) attributes St. Peter’s to Rome. So we will, too. The pencilled message has all but faded away but it’s still readable. The card’s caption calls this a “magnificent pile of architecture”! Grade: 3
