One of the great things about doing this website is the amount we learn about new places, new things–and old places and things, too. Publisher F.C.C., Hull” and mailed in 1907 with stamp and very full and complete postmark. Grade: 2

Unknown European city
We don’t know what city this is, or even if it is the entire postcard. On the heavily aged, unused reverse, it looks like this may be half of a panoramic card. The front doesn’t suggest so. Either way, the only caption is “No. 103, A.C. Dietsche, Detroit, Mich. and Frankfort, Germany,” with additional reference number 201490. We’re guessing this is not Detroit. Grade: 5

Hong Kong International Airport viewed from Ngong Ping 360
It helps to know the context. Ngong Ping 360 is a complex containing a large seated outdoor Buddha, and one way to reach it is by these cable cars that have an annoying habit of stopping mid-ride while they sort out technical problems. But they get a spectacular airport view while they wait. Unused card measures 5-1/8″ x 7″. Grade: 1
