Beautiful Mt. Fuji, Shiraito waterfalls (Japan)
Once in awhile, it’s nice to have a card of Mt. Fuji that isn’t showing the whole mountain. This is an “autumnal scene of Shiraito waterfalls.” Mailed in 2012, with stamp, postmark, and blue bilingual airmail chop. Grade: 1

ASEAN is the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, of which Thailand is a member. This is a set of four maximum cards, in The Communications Authority of Thailand paper envelope. The unused cards are somewhat mottled and smudged on the reverse, though not yet severe. Grade: 2

This is a very old 3D card, not postally used but aged, curling, and had been heavily taped on the back. The location in DPRK (North Korea) is identified in Korean and English, and it is authentic and really unusual. Grade: 4

Celilo Falls of the Columbia River (Oregon, USA)
Although this unused card is in generally poor condition, it does have a story. Celilo means “sound of water upon the rocks” in various local languages, and these Falls were (was?) submerged by The Dalles Dam in 1957. As for the card, it has multiple stains and abrasions on the reverse. Grade: 4

This unmailed 4″ x 7-1/8″ card is just like so many others we have listed under “Argentina,” and the card was made in Argentina (Grafica, No. 1607), but the caption is in Portuguese and clearly says “Brasil”. Yes, we know the falls span both countries. Just wanted to point out what the card says — also that it is postally unmailed, but with a 1973 message on the reverse. Grade: 4
